CasaTunes Alexa Skill

CasaTunes supports using multiple Alexa-enabled devices to control CasaTunes in your home. Using the CasaTunes skill for Alexa, you can assign an Alexa device to a specific CasaTunes room. Once you have assigned a room to a device, it is no longer necessary to specify the room name in each command, as it will by default, apply the command to the assigned room. For example, once you have assigned an Alexa device to the Living Room, you can power on the Living Room by issuing either of the following commands:

The latter voice command takes advantage of having assigned the Alexa device to the Living Room.

The CasaTunes Skill for Alexa provides a comprehensive list of commands you can use to control CasaTunes. These commands include:

• Selecting music - Select songs, albums, artists, playlists and stations
• Controlling rooms - powering rooms on/off, changing volume, muting and un-muting, selecting a source for a room, listing rooms and sources, etc.
• Controlling where to play your music in your home - Using the move, share and join music commands
• Controlling playback - Play, pause, next and previous track, shuffle and repeat
• Sleeping and waking up to music
• Asking Alexa what’s playing
