Three Ways to Customize the CasaTunesX Experience for Every Client

Today’s clients expect more than great sound—they expect a user experience that feels tailored to their home, their habits, and their level of comfort with technology. For integrators, that means delivering a system that not only performs, but also looks right and behaves intuitively from day one.

That’s where the CasaTunesX app stands out. With a combination of modern UI controls and a powerful user profile system, dealers can easily customize both the appearance and behavior of the app—without adding complexity to the install.

At a high level, CasaTunesX provides three layers of customization: UI mode, theme color, and user profiles. Together, they give integrators precise control over how the system is presented and how it can be used.

A Modern UI That Adapts to the Environment

CasaTunesX supports Light, Dark, and Auto display modes, making it easy to match the app to both the environment and the user’s preferences.

In bright, open living spaces, Light mode delivers a clean, modern interface. In contrast, Dark mode is ideal for media rooms, bedrooms, or wall-mounted tablets where glare and brightness can become distractions. For personal devices, Auto mode allows the app to follow the operating system—automatically shifting between light and dark throughout the day.

For integrators, this is a simple but important detail. A tablet mounted in a theater shouldn’t behave the same way as an iPhone used in the kitchen. CasaTunesX makes it easy to align the interface with the context of the room.

Material 3 Theming Brings Design Into the System

Beyond light and dark modes, CasaTunesX leverages Material 3 design to give dealers full control over the app’s visual identity.

Using a single seed color, the system generates a complete color palette that flows consistently across the entire interface—from buttons and highlights to backgrounds and states. Dealers can choose from predefined colors or create a custom color to match a client’s interior design or brand identity.

The result is more than a cosmetic tweak. It allows the app to feel like a natural extension of the space—whether that’s a modern home, a hospitality environment, or a branded commercial installation.

User Profiles: Where Customization Becomes Control

If appearance defines how the app looks, user profiles define how it behaves—and this is where CasaTunesX delivers real differentiation for the channel.

CasaTunes User Profiles provide dealers with a straightforward way to tailor the user experience while protecting the system from unintended changes. At their core, profiles serve two purposes: customizing the interface for different users and controlling what those users are allowed to do.

Out of the box, CasaTunes includes three profiles: Admin, User, and Guest. Each exposes a different level of functionality within the app.

The Admin profile, which is selected by default during setup, is designed for dealers and advanced users. It provides full access to system configuration, feature controls, and profile management. From here, the integrator can define how the system should behave for everyone else.

That includes selecting a default profile for new devices and locking down profile access entirely. Once locked, users cannot switch profiles or modify settings without entering an admin password—an important safeguard in shared environments.

This device-level flexibility is particularly useful in real-world installations. A wall-mounted tablet can be locked to a simplified interface, while a homeowner’s personal device retains full control. Guest rooms, kids’ rooms, and common areas can all be tailored independently, even though they’re part of the same system.

Under the hood, each profile is driven by a set of configurable profile settings, allowing dealers to show or hide specific controls, menus, and features. Access to rooms and sources can be restricted, Smart Tasks can be limited to specific users, and the overall interface can be simplified to match the user’s comfort level.

The result is a system that feels intuitive to the end user while remaining fully protected from accidental misconfiguration.

Designing for Real-World Use

In practice, these three layers of customization—UI mode, theme color, and user profiles—combine to solve a range of real-world challenges.

In a luxury home, the app can be styled to match the interior, with full control for the homeowner and a simplified experience for guests. In hospitality environments, devices can be locked to a single room with limited functionality, ensuring ease of use and consistency. In commercial spaces, the interface can reflect brand colors while restricting access to only the features staff actually need.

For dealers, this means fewer support calls, fewer accidental changes, and a more polished final installation.

A Better Experience Without Added Complexity

One of the strengths of CasaTunesX is that all of this customization is built into the platform—no programming required. Dealers can configure the experience quickly, adjust it over time, and deliver a system that feels purpose-built for each client.

In a category where user experience often defines customer satisfaction, that flexibility can make all the difference.
