The CasaTunes 5X4 Matrix Amplifier is our entry level matrix amplifier, designed for smaller projects. The CasaTunes 5X4MA is available as part of a system bundle, the CT1-4Z, which includes a single stream music server.
The CasaTunes 5X4 combines an audio matrix switch with four stereo 30W power amplifiers. The number of rooms configured can easily be expanded by adding additional CasaTunes 5X4 matrix amplifiers.
With 5 input sources available, the CasaTunes 5X4 matrix amplifier can be used with our 1, 2 or 3 stream music servers. Any unused input sources can be used to connect various audio components, including TVs, set-top boxes, Amazon Echo Link, SONOS Connect and Port devices, phonographs, and other components.
You can listen to any input source in any room or combination of rooms. The built-in hardware audio switch results in perfect synchronization and near-zero latency, ideal for switching TV audio, as well as music.
If more power is required, up to 2 of the 4 zones on the CasaTunes 5X4 can be configured as 2 pre-amplified digital coax outputs, which can be used to connect to a secondary power amplifier.
One of the standout features of the CT-5X4MA is its ability to distribute sources over a network using a low latency audio-over-IP protocol. This means that any analog or digital source component connected to one amplifier is automatically available to all the other amplifiers in the network. Say goodbye to the days of daisy-chaining sources with cables or using special cables to daisy-chain amplifiers.
With distributed sources, you can install your amplifiers in different locations and still have access to all the same sources. For example, if you have two buildings with speaker wires running to separate locations, you can place a matrix amplifier in each building, connect your music server to one matrix amplifier, and still have access to all the same sources in both buildings. Plus, with the ability to connect source equipment to any matrix amplifier, you can have up to 32 distributed sources - more than any other equipment in this price range.
What's more, you can mix and match the CT-12X8MA and the CT-5X4 matrix amplifiers, as they are part of the same family of matrix amplifiers, and both types will have access to all your distributed sources.
The CasaTunes 5X4 matrix amplifier supports 2 optional keypads. Each keypad allows control of the associated room and integrates an IR receiver which can be used to relay IR signals to the source equipment selected for the room.
Other advanced features include configurable audio delays, multiple EQ settings for each room, including a 4-band parametric equalizer, loudness, bass, treble and balance.
